Got your attention? This futuristic refrigerator is a project developed during the summer term at the University of Applied Sciences in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. It is based on the idea that future product tags will be printable. This is how know-it-all fridges will be available. Equipped with an interactive terminal, this fridge will be able to exhibit the products held inside, together with all their nutritional details and expiration dates. Moreover, the touch display can provide facilities such as a cook book, indication about where to buy missing groceries and many more. We recently received an impressive contemporary apartment design from Juraj Karlík, of Neopolis Studio. According to the press release we were sent, the project belongs to designer Vierka and we were happy to see that it is located in a city that we did not yet cover on Freshome: Bratislava, Slovakia. The flat consists of a large open plan living room, joined with kitchen and dining area. Two entrances connect this space with the outdoor terraces. All furniture and interior elements were custom designed and developed in order to provide sense of space. The loft also features a children’s room with custom made bunk beds, working zone and storage spaces. The last room of the apartment is the parent’s bedroom, with a design that inspires tranquility. Except for the main rooms, there are two bathrooms, one separate toilet and separate technical room with washing machine. JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Gedung Teknologi Gas yang berfungsi sebagai laboratorium dan kantor milik Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Teknologi Minyak dan Gas Bumi (PPPTMGB) Lemigas berhasil mendapatkan sertifikasi bangunan hijau kategori silver. Dengan predikat ini, gedung tersebut merupakan gedung pemerintah pertama di Indonesia bersertifikasi hijau.

KOMPAS.com — Tahun ini, tema “Colour Futures 2012″ yang diluncurkan Dulux mengambil tema utama “Possibilities” atau “Kemungkinan” dengan lima tema inspirasi warna-warni kontemporer yang menjadi kesatuan tren setiap tahunnya. Kelima tema warna ini merupakan formulasi baru tren warna interior dan eksterior untuk dijadikan pertimbangan.

“Kesemua tema ini merujuk pada karakter warna yang diperkenalkan dengan konsep Tea Dance. Brazilian architect Gisele Taranto in collaboration with art curator Mara Fainziliber and lighting designer Maneco Quinderé created an interior called Living Room of an Art Collector, as part of Casa Cor, an important event of national architecture and decoration held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The brief of the project was to create a place where tradition meets contemporary decoration, in a pleasant manner. Here is small description from Gisele Taranto: “Ceiling, floor and walls were kept as originally and received pieces of art and designed furniture. The biggest challenge was to show that it is possible to add contemporaneity to any historical room, giving emphasis to both. Pieces of renowned and new promising artists, national and internationally, were used in the space.” Even though this massive, 1000 square foot living room is not something one could easily recreate, some of the decorating elements found here are beautiful, practical and inspiring.
